Work site: Kiva Montessori School, 601 N. Mildred Road, Cortez, CO 81321
Duties: Teach elementary school students (Grades 3 to 4). Develop and implement Montessori standards-aligned curriculum including scope and sequence, annual plan, unit plans, weekly lesson plans and individualized student work plans. Develop curriculum and lesson plans targeted with end goal of student performance at or above grade level expectations. Analyze student achievement data. Implement standards-based data tracking system and use data to inform instructional development and delivery. Communicate regularly and proactively with students and families. Collaborate with other staff members and actively participate in all professional development and learning activities. Provide a stimulating and developmentally appropriate daily curriculum that honors the Montessori philosophy and the individuality of each child in the classroom. Maintain a beautifully prepared, organized, clean, safe, and stimulating environment for the children. Implement the school’s integrated PE program, Health and Wellness lunch curriculum, and Art program in classroom. Participate in additional activities including field trips, intensive academic support sessions, and other required programs as needed throughout year. Support and facilitate additional testing/assessments led by the Head of School. Support, lead and implement specialized educational programs and interventions.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in education or closely related field. Full time. $40,875.00/year (BA+45 with 6 yrs experience).
