Kiva is offering technical training to Kiva parents

Tuesday & Thursday afternoons from 3:20-4:00 beginning Oct 27 at the Kiva, in the computer lab.

TOPICS TO BE COVERED:
-Logging into chromebook
-Logging into their child’s various learning platforms (Google Classroom, Khan, Readworks, etc.)
-Navigation of Google Classroom (opening, submitting, creating assignments, etc.)

Dear Kiva Community:

Thank you to the Ute Mountain Ute Education Department–Especially Tina King-Washington and her transportation crew. They are providing transportation for Kiva Students both to campus, and to Learning Expedition Sites.

Volunteers are really helping out at the Kiva this week. Thanks to Catrina Prairie and Chris Cordova for setting up three tents on the lawn and Lavona Hanson and Cheryl Kline for volunteering in the admin office. Shannon Englehart is letting us borrow one of her tents as well. Dave Barber created an architectural rendering of our new school garden and pavilion coming this fall.

The Expectation at Kiva is for all families to donate 20 hours per year. Why? Volunteers make an a VERY IMPORTANT part of our staffing needs. Can you help for 45 minutes once a week? A full day once per month? Now, more than every, we need your support.

Kiva is asking for volunteers for PTO, Admin support, Expedition Support, Lunch Pickup and Building Projects. In addition, the Board of Directors, the Building Corps (Landlord of the Building) and School Accountability Committee all need leadership.
